Minot State Wrestling Room

After re-establishing the wrestling program in 2010, Minot State head wrestling coach Robin Ersland and his team were in need of a facility to practice and train. With the building of the Minot State Wellness Center in 2012, they received a new home in a brand new wrestling room.

Located in the lower level of the Wellness Center, the 3,00 square foot room houses two full wrestling mats and room for various pieces of equipment to help train wrestlers.

"The new wrestling room gives our team a home and some stability," said MISU head coach Robin Ersland. "It's a great recruiting tool and it's one of the best wrestling rooms in the Midwest. We are excited to have our future in this room."

Minot State Dome - Home of Minot State Wrestling

The Minot State Dome is the home of the Beavers women's basketball team. The Dome is the largest arena in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and is one of the largest arenas in the Upper Midwest. The Dome can hold 10,000 fans with all the bleachers being used.

The facility is used for much more than just athletic events, as it houses classrooms, Minot State Athletic offices, an eight lane indoor track, racquetball courts, locker rooms and concessions stands.

Built in the early 1980's, the Minot State Dome has played host to many big events throughout it's history. It is often used for regional and community events such as the Special Olympics, high school track & field meets, Minot State graduation ceremonies, concerts, conventions and the biggest event- the North Dakota Class B Boy's Basketball Tournament.

As part of the commitment Minot State has made to the athletic programs, efforts are being made to keep the Dome in top shape with planned renovations and improvements. Second level signage and video replay scoreboards are being planned be installed in the near future.

The Minot State Dome is one of the top facilities in the nation at the NCAA Division II level. With continued support and care, it can continue to host great events and be a great place to take in an athletic event.
